John Cadwalader Biography |
John Cadwalader (1742-1786) was a merchant and soldier from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was a Brigadier General of the Pennsylvania militia during the American Revolutionary War. After the Conway Cabal, he fought a duel with Thomas Conway in 1778 in which Conway was wounded by being shot in the mouth. After the war he moved to Maryland. |
