Per Brinch Hansen (his surname is "Brinch Hansen") is a computer scientist at the principal technical institute of Eindhoven, the Netherlands.

He pioneered important concepts in concurrency, and led development of the THE operating system, which was claimed to be free of coding errors as a result of a scheme of machine comparsion to verify equivalence of independent codings of modules from the same functional description.
