Wilford Brimley Biography
A. Wilford Brimley (born September 27, 1934, Salt Lake City, Utah) is an American actor. A character actor, he often plays supporting roles. He did not become famous unil he was older, and he often plays a stodgy old man, most notably on the drama Our House. With his portly physique, full white mustache, gruff voice and glasses, Brimley's appearance is instatnly recognizable and almost iconic. Brimley is diabetic.

Brimley also is well known for the commericals he has made. He became well known for a series of commercials he did for Quaker Oats Oatmeal. Recently, Brimley has made a series of commercials for a diabetic supply company, Liberty Medical.
