George Elroy Boyd Biography |
George Boyd, from a family of nine, was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Predominantly a playwright, Boyd has written in many other genres, including radio, television and motion pictures. In 2000, his play, Consecrated Ground , was nominated for a Governor's-General award for drama. Consecrated Ground was first published in 1996 Stage Hand Publishers, LaHave, N.S. along with Gideon's Blues in a volume titled Two, By George!.
Other plays include, Shine Boy, Gideon's Blues and Wade In The Water.
Mr. Boyd currently resides in Montreal, where he's busy writing a new play, Rodier. |
