Pope Adeodatus Biography |
Adeodatus reigned as pope from 672 to 676. Little is known of him. He was a monk of the Roman cloister of St Erasmus on the Coelian Hill, and he was active in improving monastic discipline, and in the repression of the Monothelitism.
He is sometimes referred to as Adeodatus II; his predecessor, Pope Deusdedit, is also sometimes known as Adeodatus I. |
